Welcome summer tenants? Prepare for the tax!

Included in Governor Deval Patrick's latest budget is a proposal to tax rentals that are shorter than 90 days in duration.  Sounds like a nice bite out of that summer rental income you may be realizing.  The budget is now before the House for consideration and MAR (Massachusetts Association of Realtors) is lobbying hard to oppose this tax.  Another reason we (Homes on Martha's Vineyard) are a member of the Cape Cod and Islands Association of Realtors.  Send a note to your legislator today saying you oppose this proposed tax.
